Technical Implementation Consultant

Role Description

The Technical Implementation Consultant will support the technical delivery of client implementations, working across data migration, product configuration, testing and go-live.

Working within the Product Delivery team and directly with clients, the role will help translate business, system and data requirements into practical implementation solutions. A key focus will be the delivery of accurate and reliable data migrations, using established tools and processes while identifying opportunities to improve automation, efficiency and repeatability.

The role will work closely with the Senior Technical Implementation Consultant, Client Strategy, Development and Support, developing both technical and industry knowledge while progressively taking greater ownership of client implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the technical implementation of client projects, including data migration, product configuration, testing and technical readiness for go-live.
• Participate in technical conversations with clients to understand their existing systems, data and business processes, progressively taking greater ownership as experience develops.
• Execute client data migrations, including data analysis, mapping, transformation, validation and reconciliation.
• Use Microsoft SQL Server / SQL extensively to investigate, transform and validate client data.
• Develop and contribute to migration tooling, scripts and automation, including using C#/.NET where appropriate.
• Apply established migration tools, processes and standards consistently, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and repeatability.
• Develop knowledge of the company's industry and business domain and apply this to client implementations and data migrations.
• Configure the product to reflect client business processes and requirements.
• Support technical testing, data validation and reconciliation, progressively taking greater responsibility for technical readiness through UAT and go-live.
• Investigate and resolve technical, data and implementation issues, working with the Senior Technical Implementation Consultant and other internal teams where required.
• Identify recurring client, data and implementation issues and contribute ideas to improve the product and implementation approach.
• Identify opportunities to improve migration tooling, processes, documentation and implementation practices.
• Build technical and implementation capability through hands-on project delivery, knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Experience, Skills & Characteristics

We are looking for someone who is technically curious and keen to use technology, automation and improved tooling to make implementation and data migration more efficient, reliable and repeatable.

• Experience in software implementation, data migration, technical consulting or another relevant technical role.
• Strong SQL skills, ideally using Microsoft SQL Server, including querying, data analysis and data manipulation.
• Experience working with structured data and an understanding of data mapping, transformation, validation and reconciliation.
• Experience with data migration or working with data from multiple systems or sources would be advantageous.
• Experience developing scripts, tooling or automation would be beneficial. Experience with C#/.NET would be advantageous.
• Ability to investigate technical and data issues logically and develop practical solutions.
• Ability to understand business processes and translate requirements into technical or product configuration changes.
• Comfortable working directly with clients and communicating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with client data and validating migration outcomes.
• Experience within trust, corporate services, fiduciary, fund administration or a related financial-services environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Pragmatic and solution-focused, with a willingness to learn and take increasing ownership as experience develops.
• Collaborative and able to work effectively across Product Delivery, Development, Client Strategy and Support.
• Curious and improvement-minded, with an interest in developing technical skills and improving tools and ways of working.
• Calm and methodical when working through technical issues or delivery challenges.
