Background on your business, what were the primary challenges or problems you were facing before using PlainSail?

We are a family office based in Jersey with a Trust Company Business licence, providing administration, secretarial, accounting and treasury services to structures established to manage the family wealth. We were looking for an alternative to our current corporate administration and accounting system.

What led you to consider PlainSail and what were the key factors in your decision to choose PlainSail?

We reviewed the PlainSail offering as part of our plan to move to implement a new corporate administration system. The whole team were impressed by the look and feel of PlainSail, particularly when compared to our current system. It appeared to provide a much clearer view of our client entities, and seemed far more ‘user friendly’.

What was the implementation/migration process like?

The implementation process was fairly straightforward and it was great to be able to liaise with Sam and the team throughout the whole process. Where there were any challenges, these were quickly resolved by direct dialogue with the PlainSail team.

We have also customized workflows for things like customer periodic reviews and risk assessments, including approvals, which has made these tasks much more efficient and ensuring a full audit trail.
